WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – With Christmas just around the corner, Purdue University’s Boiler Communication has announced that it will be collecting small gifts and necessities benefitting children in need for Operation Christmas Child. The event will take place on Oct. 23 from 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the West Lafayette Wal-Mart located on Northwestern Ave.



 

During the collection hours, Boiler Communication would like to encourage Wal-Mart shoppers to donate new items for children who would not otherwise receive Christmas presents. Acceptable donation items include new hygiene necessities, school supplies, small toys, and stuffed animals.  Other local businesses or patrons interested in donating can contact Boiler Communication for more information about contributing at boilercommunication@gmail.com. 



Boiler Communication is a student-run public relations firm located in West Lafayette, Ind.  The firm was founded in the spring of 2008 and consists of 29 student members and one faculty adviser.  The executive director is Macy Hopper.
